Spoiler free and OT3
We half marathoned Doctor Who today (hence the shooty dog thing). See, a marathon is at least 4 episodes, so half a marathon is two episodes. This is my arbitrary decision on what a marathon counts as, so they ya go.
The Curse of the Black Spot - Pirates! The whole mirror universe thing got a little confusing but they made it work.
I particularly enjoyed the ending because it means that somewhere in 17th century space, a crew of English pirates are having zany adventures. Unless they have a time drive or something, in which case they're have adventures THROUGH TIME! And then they can meet Jenny and do wacky stuff with the zany aliens! Spin off tastic!
The Doctor's Wife - OMG. This was AMAZING! It was pure Gaiman. Talking TARDIS! This is one of those things that you realise you always wanted without ever being able to vocalise, and you want it ALL THE TIME, but having it all the time would ruin the specialness and importance of having it just once. Does that make sense? And what is it about the Ood that makes us automatically assume that they'll want to kill us. Is it the tentacles? The eyes? We naturally assume these creatures want to kill us - and to be fair, we're nearly always right.
And what's going on with Amy? Why was the House able to mess with her and not Rory? There was the thing where it separated them for hours, but that was still something it did to Amy, not Rory. There's something going on there.
I loved that the TARDIS thought Rory was the pretty one. The TARDIS likes stupid faces - she likes the boys. And calling them all 'strays'! Stroke of genius. I kinda want to call Amy the Orangey One from now.
I was going to list all my favourite OT3's from various fandoms but it's getting close to bedtime and I have to work tomorrow (BLEH). I'll do the list another time.
