First, I have to say thank you for making a vid for me! I'll try to make it as easy as possible. I already think it's awesome. The fact that you're going to the effort of making a vid for someone else is just fantastic and you deserve overwhelmingly praise.
My Requests
Almost Heroes
Details: I love everything about this show, so any vid would be fantastic. I particularly like the shenanigans, and the wacky hijinks.
You really should check this show out (it has Billy from Galactica!). Its geeky and fun and wacky and silly. It's like if The Big Bang Theory was made by actual nerds. You'll quickly notice that most of the things I like can be described as either wacky or zany. Basically, two brothers run a comic book store, and shenanigans ensue. Things happen and in the end, they all learn something about family. I'm not sure if there are ANY vids for this show, so you could be a trailblazer!
Lost Girl - 2010
Details: I love Kenzi. She's my favourite character in this. I also love the atmosphere of the show, and the world it portrays. Oh, and the sex.
This is just my opinion, but I prefer this to True Blood (which I haven't seen). I'd want to see something about how awesome Bo and Kenzi are, which, if you've seen the show, you know already! I don't think any vid here would need to be deep, just something along the lines of "Bo's awesome, Kenzi's awesome, let's be crazy awesome together!"
D.E.B.S.
Details: Gotta love Lucy Diamond. She's just awesome, and the love story is really very sweet.
Aww super-secret lesbian spies! This would have to be upbeat, maybe even focus on Lucy Diamond as the protagonist. Jordana Brewster is amazing!
The Fifth Element
Details: I'd love to see a focus on Leelu. I love the overt style of this film and the almost garish visuals.
For a story about Leelu, there's an awful lot of focus on Corben Dallas. I'd love to see a vid that's more about Leelu, her quirks, her flaws and her kick-ass-ness.
Wanted
Details: What I particularly like about Wanted is that it doesn't take itself too seriously. It's a big dumb action movie (with exploding rats!), and the action sequences are possibly my favourite.
Explosions! Flirting via cars! Curving bullets! Honestly, anything for this film with some rock would be instantly epic.
Press Gang
Music: Preferably something British, from the late 80's, early 90's.
Details: Spike/Lynda has always been one of my favourite ships. I enjoy the whole team though, and how they work together.
This is the only request I have that I have music suggestion for as well. I think music from the period of the show would work much better than anything more recent. And say what you like about Moffatt running Doctor Who, Press Gang was a solid show. I can see it being difficult to vid, so I'm not expecting too much from anyone brave enough to try this.
Black Books
Details: I love the shenanigans in this show, and Dylan Moran's frantic flailing of limbs. Anything that shows off the craziness is good.
This is another request that would be hard to vid. I think anything that captures the spirit of the show would be amazing, story be damned!
Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place
Details: I think the first season of this is the best, but I love them all. Probably my favourite scenes were those with the three main characters just being friends and having crazy wacky hijinks.
I miss this show! Pete, and Sharon and Berg (and Ashley and Johnny ((Baby Nathan Fillion!))) are the best of friends. "This is how we play. When one of us is down, we kick them!" They're horrible to each other in only the way crazy, over-the-top sitcoms characters can be.
So yeah, those are my requests. Unfortunately, I don't have a rec list yet (I tend to watch vids that my Girl downloads, so I'm never really sure where they came from). A good indication of what I like might be my own vids found here. Yes, it's a shameless plug, but the Dance of Joy vid is basically everything I love about vidding, being able to show amazing moments from things we love.
